In the summer, Reno locals can be found near three major bodies of water: Lake Tahoe, the Truckee River and Pyramid Lake. Winters in Reno are just as enjoyable, skiing and snowboarding are among the most popular winter sports, there are approximately eight major ski resorts in Reno.
